Thursday 2025/08/21

The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Umm Al-Qura University, has implemented a training initiative titled “Tirhab”, aimed at enhancing the skills of more than 300 front-line employees serving visitors and pilgrims in the Holy City.

The programme seeks to elevate standards of communication and visitor engagement by developing participants’ cognitive and behavioural competencies, fostering positive interaction, and equipping them with professional tools to manage diverse situations within service environments—ultimately enriching the overall visitor experience in Makkah.

Training modules covered a range of topics, including emotional intelligence, working under pressure, customer service, and creating exceptional guest moments. The sessions combined theoretical knowledge with practical application through an interactive methodology.

Organisers emphasised that this initiative forms part of the joint efforts by the three entities to develop the human capital serving the Guests of Allah and to strengthen integration across related sectors. The programme aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance service quality and improve the visitor experience in Makkah and the Holy Sites.
