Makkah’s Deputy Governor Opens International Exhibition and Museum Showcasing the Prophet’s Life and Islamic Civilization

His Highness Prince Saud bin Mashaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, inaugurated the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization at the Abraj Al-Bait Towers in Makkah. The event was held under the supervision of the Muslim World League, in cooperation with the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites.

Upon his arrival, His Highness was welcomed by Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rashid, CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Misfer Al-Qurashi Al-Zahrani, Chairman of the Board of the International Exhibitions and Museums of the Prophet’s Biography, along with a number of distinguished officials and dignitaries.

During his tour of the museum, His Highness explored various pavilions and exhibitions offering an interactive and immersive experience of the Prophet PBUH’s biography and Islamic civilization through the latest visual and digital technologies. Highlights included the “Be with the Prophet PBUH in Makkah and Madinah and on the Migration Route” pavilion, a panoramic display of the Prophet PBUH’s chamber, the Prophetic Medicine pavilion, and a presentation of the Prophet PBUH’s daily routine, providing visitors with a vivid, educational journey into the life of the Prophet PBUH.

His Highness also received a briefing on the museum’s accompanying digital platform, “Ithaf,” which features a scientific library, knowledge encyclopedias, and translated technical resources in major global languages. The platform aims to promote the Prophet PBUH’s biography using innovative modern methods aligned with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation objectives.

The Deputy Governor visited a permanent exhibition highlighting Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah of the Prophet PBUH. The exhibition showcases the Kingdom’s significant contributions in this field under the support and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them.

Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rashid, CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Prince Saud bin Mashaal bin Abdulaziz for presiding over and honoring the inauguration ceremony. He emphasized that the distinguished presence reflects the support and attention given by the leadership and the Makkah Emirate to high-value projects in the region. Al-Rashid added that the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet PBUH’s Biography and Islamic Civilization represents a global cultural and educational project that highlights the eternal message of Islam and enriches the experience of pilgrims and visitors to the Holy City. He also praised the efforts of the Muslim World League and all partners in bringing this remarkable initiative to fruition, reaffirming the Royal Commission’s commitment to supporting projects that elevate Makkah’s status and align with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet PBUH’s Biography and Islamic Civilization is a global cultural initiative dedicated to presenting the timeless message of Islam as a mercy to all humanity. It also serves as a strategic initiative to enhance the experience of pilgrims and visitors to Makkah, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
