Language & Religion

Language

The official language of Saudi Arabia is Arabic, used in all governmental, educational, and media communications. You will also find a rich variety of dialects across different regions of the country. English is widely understood, especially in airports, hotels, and shopping centers, making daily communication easier for international visitors during their trip.

Religion

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam and its holiest land, home to the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. The majority of the population practices Islam, and visitors are advised to respect religious practices, especially during the month of Ramadan, as public places reflect a special spiritual atmosphere. Modest clothing is also recommended in public areas as a sign of respect for local culture.
