Overview

Embark on an enriching journey along the Al-Abdiyah Route, a comprehensive tour through some of Makkah’s most significant religious, historical, and cultural landmarks — a path that unveils the city’s enduring spiritual and civilizational legacy.

Your journey begins at the Islamic Manuscripts Museum, where ancient pages reveal the treasures of Islamic scholarship and heritage. Here, you can explore rare manuscripts that have preserved the intellectual history of the Muslim world for centuries.

Next, visit Namirah Mosque, one of the most prominent landmarks in the plains of Arafat, followed by Mount Arafah (Jabal Al-Rahmah) — a sacred site that stands as a symbol of mercy and devotion on one of the holiest days of Hajj.

Continue to the Ain Zubaidah Channel, a marvel of early Islamic engineering that supplied water to pilgrims throughout history.

The route then takes you to Majlis Al-Turath (The Heritage Council) and Atabah, where culture, art, and traditional Makkan hospitality come together in a vibrant expression of local identity.

Your exploration continues toward Mount Thawr (Jabal Thawr), home to the cave that played a vital role in the Prophet’s Hijrah (migration), a stop that evokes patience, faith, and resilience.

Next, visit the Umm Al-Qura University Museum, offering insight into the development of education and research in Makkah, before heading to Al-Khaif Mosque, one of Mina’s oldest and most revered mosques — where many prophets once prayed.

The route then leads you across the Jamarat Bridge, a symbol of Hajj’s rituals and devotion, and onward to Bay’ah Mosque, where the Ansar pledged allegiance to the Prophet (PBUH)— a lasting emblem of faith and unity.

Finally, conclude your journey at the Hira Cultural District, where knowledge and inspiration intertwine. Explore the Qur’an Museum and the Revelation Exhibition, immersing yourself in an experience that blends history, spirituality, and culture. The Al-Abdiyah Route offers a holistic experience that connects the sacred sites of the holy rituals with Makkah’s rich historical and cultural heritage, reflecting the city’s timeless spiritual essence.
